שר התיירות יריב לוין נפגש היום (ראשון), בירושלים עם נשיא גואטמלה הנבחר אלחנדרו ג׳יאמטי. השר לוין הודה לנשיא ג׳יאמטי על עמדתו החד-משמעית כי שגרירות גואטמלה תמשיך להיות ממוקמת בירושלים. השניים דנו בנושאים הנוגעים ליחסים ההדוקים בין ישראל וגואטמלה והנשיא ג׳יאמטי הוסיף ואמר כי בין המדינות שוררת ברית חזקה, ובין העמים ישנם יחסי ידידות חזקים ואמיצים. השניים סיכמו על העמקת שיתוף הפעולה בנושאי תיירות, בהמשך להסכם תיירות שכבר נחתם בין ישראל לגואטמלה.
