מנכ"ל רשת מלונות ישרוטל: "הפוליטיקה ניצחה את אילת"

לאחר שחוק "איי התיירות הירוקים" שנועד לאפשר פתיחה מחודשת של בתי המלון באילת ובים המלח לא עבר אתמול (רביעי) בכנסת, מזהיר מנכ"ל רשת ישרוטל, ליאור רביב: "אם החוק לא יעבור, הקריסה של אילת תהיה סופית ומוחלטת"

מלונאים באילת עשו את כל ההכנות לקראת הפתיחה המחודשת של בתי המלון בעיר הנופש הדרומית, אך כל זה לחינם לאחר שחוק "איי התיירות הירוקים" לא עבר אתמול (חמישי) בכנסת. שר הבריאות, יולי אדלשטיין, עמד על כך שהחוק יאפשר אך ורק את פתיחת בתי המלון באילת וים המלח. אולם, גורמים שונים שניסו להכניס לחוק הסתייגויות נוספות שיאפשרו לפתוח מלונות בערים נוספות ולזה, הביאו לסירוב גורף של השר. המלונאים מצידם, זועמים. ליאור רביב, מנכ"ל רשת מלונות ישרוטל אמר על כך לפספורטניוז, "הפוליטיקה ניצחה את אילת. אלפי עובדים נשארים בבית. התנהלות לא ברורה של ממשלת ישראל שחוקקה חוק ומשום מה החליטה שלא להעביר אותו בכנסת". יחד עם זאת, מאחורי הקלעים מתקיימות שיחות בין הצדדים השונים כדי להגיע למתווה מוסכם שוועדת החוקה תוכל לאשררו ביום שני בשבוע הבא, ואז גם הכנסת תאשרר. על כך אומר רביב, "אני מאמין שביום שני הקרוב ההיגיון והשכל הישר יגברו על שיקולים לא רלוונטיים ופתיחת בתי המלון באילת וים המלח תתאפשר באמצע השבוע הבא". באותה נשימה רביב מזהיר, "במידה והנ"ל לא יקרה, הקריסה של העיר אילת תהיה סופית ומוחלטת והשיקום יהיה קשה עד בלתי אפשרי".
