זעם בלשכת מארגני התיירות הנכנסת לישראל על הכוונה, לטענתה, לסגור את שמיי ישראל בפני קבוצות תיירים מאתיופיה בתקופת הכריסמס. מנכ"ל הלשכה: "רשות ההגירה והאוכלוסין שוב שוקלת סנקציות קונסולריות"

בלשכת מארגני תיירות נכנסת לישראל מתריעים על סגירת שמיי בישראל בפני תיירים מאתיופיה.

בין המדינות קיימת בעיה בסוגיות קונסולריות שבעבר גרמו למהלך חד צדדי מצד ישראל לסגירת השמיים בפני קבוצות מאתיופיה.

בפעם הקודמת, בחג פסחא, פעלה הלשכה רבות לשינוי ההחלטה שעוררה זעם בחו"ל ובישראל וגרמה נזק עצום למארגני הקבוצות בישראל.

יוסי פתאל, מנכ"ל הלשכה: "על פי הידוע לנו, התנהלות שגרירות אתיופיה בישראל אינה סבירה ואף מזלזלת בכללים הנהוגים במערכות יחסים דיפלומטיים בין מדינות. השגרירות האתיופית בישראל מסרבת לשתף פעולה במקרים בהם מדינת ישראל מבקשת להרחיק שוהים בלתי חוקיים".

"רשות ההגירה והאוכלוסין שוב שוקלת לנקוט סנקציות קונסולריות במענה לאי שיתוף פעולה מצד שגרירות אתיופיה באי מתן אישורי כניסה ואשרות לתיירים מאתיופיה. הנזקים הצפויים לחברי הלשכה עצומים במיוחד לאור העובדה כי תקופת 'הכריסמס' בפתח".

פתאל מציע לחברי הלשכה, "צריכים לקחת בחשבון כי קבוצות שהוגשו וכאלה שיוגשו עלולות להיקלע לעין הסערה בעיכוב בין המדינות. מומלץ לנקוט משנה זהירות בניהול ההזמנות והגשת הבקשות. במקביל, כבר פועלת הלשכה מול משרד החוץ, מול שגרירות אתיופיה בישראל וגם מול משרד התיירות במטרה למנוע משבר זה".
