הישג לישראל: משרד התיירות נבחר להוביל את התכנון האסטרטגי בארגון התיירות של האו"ם

במסגרת הבחירות לוועדות של ארגון התיירות של האו"ם, שהתקיימו היום (ה') בבולגריה (סופיה), ישראל נבחרה, לראשונה, לעמוד בראש צוות משימה לעיצוב תפיסת התיירות העולמית

במסגרת הבחירות לוועדות של ארגון התיירות של האו"ם, שהתקיימו היום (ה') בבולגריה (סופיה), מדינת ישראל נבחרה, לראשונה, לעמוד בראש צוות משימה (Task Force) לעיצוב תפיסת התיירות העולמית.

בראשות הצוות יעמוד מנכ״ל משרד התיירות, דני שחר, לצד נציג מספרד. הצוות יהיה אחראי על מדיניות ואסטרטגיה של התיירות העולמית ויכין תוכנית לשנים 2024-2025, בדגש על התאוששות ממשברים, קיימות, תיירות אקולוגית וחינוך לתיירות. זאת, תוך שיתוף פעולה רחב בין מדינות הארגון.

שר התיירות חיים כץ: "כחלק ממדיניות המשרד לחיזוק מעמדה של ישראל בעולם, פעלנו להשתלב בעמדה שתקנה לנו השפעה בזירה הבינלאומית. הוועדה שנוביל, היא צעד ראשון והיסטורי. התיירות מחברת בין העמים, היא גשר לשלום וזו לא סיסמה. הדינמיקה המשתנה באזור המזרח התיכון מוכיחה כי המציאות יכולה לעלות על כל דמיון".
