אבל כבד ברשות שדות התעופה. סרן (מיל') אליה יאנובסקי, בן 24 מירושלים, מפקד מחלקה בגדוד 8111, חטיבה 5 של גבעתי, נפל אתמול (ראשון) בקרב בדרום רצועת עזה.

יאנובסקי היה מפקד ביחידת מגן בחטיבת הביטחון של רשות שדות התעופה. בהודעה מיוחדת של הרשות נכתב כי "הנהלת נתב״ג, הוועדים וציבור העובדים מודיעים בצער רב על נפילתו בקרב".
