נשיא המדינה: "המלונות בישראל התגייסו למשימה הכי חשובה"

באירוע הוקרה למלונאים שהתקיים בבית הנשיא אמר אלי כהן, נשיא התאחדות המלונות: "מלונאי ישראל גאים לקחת חלק בעשייה לאומית ציונית אמיתית. אנו עושים הכל כדי שהמפונים ירגישו בבית״

"המלונות בישראל התגייסו למשימה הכי חשובה, לתת לעורף להיות תחת קורת גג במצב חירום. אני מברך את המלונות, מודה להתאחדות המלונאים ולשר התיירות על עבודה נהדרת ושיתוף פעולה", כך אמר היום (ג') נשיא המדינה, יצחק הרצוג באירוע הוקרה למלונאים שהתקיים בבית הנשיא, ביוזמת הנשיא ובמעמד שר התיירות, חיים כץ.

במסגרת האירוע, נשיא המדינה קיבל סקירה מהשר כץ וחברי התאחדות המלונות על הליך הקמת החמ"ל המשותף למשרד התיירות והמלונאים, ועל מערך שיבוץ המפונים בבתי מלון תוך מתן מעטפת לצרכי היום יום השונים.

שר התיירות: ״כששמעתי על החלטת הממשלה בעניין הפינוי החלטתי לקחת את הפינוי תחת חסותי. המלונאים נתרמו ללא כל היסוס ועל כך אני מודה להם מאוד, בתי המלון הפכו להיות ישובים עם בתי ספר ותעסוקה לילדים. אני קורא למלונאים, תוודאו שאנשים עושים צ'ק אאוט על מנת שיקבלו את המענק היומי״.

נשיא התאחדות בתי המלון, אלי כהן: "אם לא שר התיירות, היה משבר הומניטרי גדול ואמיתי בכל הקשור לפינוי תושבים. מלונאי ישראל גאים לקחת חלק בעשייה לאומית ציונית אמיתית. אנו עושים הכל כדי שהמפונים ירגישו בבית ומייחלים ליום שיוכלו לשוב לבתיהם ויחזרו אלינו כאורחים".
