יעקב (קובי) בליטשטיין מונה למנכ"ל משרד החוץ

הממשלה אישרה את מינוי של יעקב (קובי) בליטשטיין לתפקיד מנכ"ל משרד החוץ.

בליטשטיין הוא אלוף-משנה במילואים, שימש בעבר כמנכ"ל משרד האנרגיה והתשתיות, כממלא מקום מנכ"ל משרד האוצר, ראש מטה התשתיות הלאומיות במשרד האוצר (בדרג מנכ"ל) וכמשנה למנכ"לית וסמנכ"ל תכנון ופיתוח תשתיות במשרד התחבורה.

ממשרד החוץ נמסר כי: ״לבליטשטיין ניסיון ניהולי בכיר, ורב שנים הן במסגרת שירותו הצבאי, הן במסגרת השירות הפרטי והן בשוק הציבורי והוא ניהל בעבר את משרד האנרגיה והתשתיות בהצלחה רבה ויכולותיו הניהוליים והידע שרכש אפשרו לו לנהל את משק האנרגיה בתקופת מלחמת "חרבות ברזל" המורכבת.״

בתקופת כהונתו כמנכ"ל משרד האנרגיה והתשתיות ניהל בהצלחה הליכים בינלאומיים שונים, בין היתר, הוביל משא ומתן מורכב עם ירדן ואיחוד האמירויות לקידום הסכמי פרוספריטי בשיתוף הממשל האמריקאי, קידום שיתוף פעולה עם קפריסין לחיבוריות בכבל חשמלי, קידום מדיניות אנרגיה והסכמי שיתוף פעולה עם גרמניה ואיטליה, וחברות פעילה בפורום הגז האיזורי ה-EMGF בו חברות מדינות המזרח התיכון.

בליטשטיין בוגר תואר ראשון בחוג המשולב לכלכלה, מדעי המדינה וסוציולוגיה מאוניברסיטת בר אילן, בוגר תואר ראשון במשפטים מהקריה האקדמית אונו, ובעל תואר שני (מוסמך) במהל עסקים מאוניברסיטת תל-אביב. כמו כן, בעל רישיון עריכת דין.
