ממשיך לשבור שיאים: בנמל הית'רו עברו בינואר יותר מ-6.3 מיליון נוסעים

יותר מ-200,000 נוסעים בממוצע מדי יום בשנה האחרונה בהית'רו, כשהטיסות הטרנסאטלנטיות בין בריטניה לארצות הברית מהוות גורם מרכזי לצמיחה

החודש שעבר, ינואר 2025, היה העמוס ביותר בנמל הית'רו, עם יותר מ-6.3 מיליון נוסעים בנמל התעופה המרכזי בבריטניה - עלייה של יותר מ-5% בהשוואה לתקופה המקבילה אשתקד.

ינואר היה החודש ה-11 ברציפות בהית'רו, שהגיע לממוצע של יותר מ-200,000 נוסעים ביום, כאשר הטיסות הטרנסאטלנטיות היוו תורם מרכזי לצמיחה זו. יותר מ-1.2 מיליון נוסעים נסעו בין בריטניה לארה"ב, עלייה של 8% בהשוואה ל-2024.

לצד מספרי נוסעים שוברי שיא, הית'רו גם שמר על התואר כ"שדה התעופה הטוב ביותר בבריטניה" בטקס פרסי הנסיעות של Travel Weekly Globe זו השנה הרביעית ברציפות.

במקביל קרוב ל-120,000 טון מטען עברו בהצלחה בינואר. זה פי שניים מכל שדות התעופה האחרים בבריטניה ביחד. כמו כן, נמל הית'רו חשף לאחרונה את "ווינדזור", הטרמינל הפרטי, ששופץ ומותג מחדש כטרמינל VIP.

הנהלת נמל התעופה שוקדת על התוכנית למסלול שלישי בנמל ותגיש את הצעתה לממשלה עד הקיץ הקרוב.

מנכ"ל הית'רו, תומס וולדבי, אמר: "2025 התחילה כפי שאנחנו מתכוונים להמשיך - מספרי נוסעים שוברי שיא. כדי להבטיח שנמשיך במסלול הזה כלפי מעלה, הממשלה סימנה את תמיכתה בהרחבת הית'רו. כעת נעבוד עם השרים כדי לקדם את שינויי המדיניות הנדרשים כדי לקדם את תוכניות הצמיחה שלנו".
