אלי כהן ייבחר היום רשמית לתפקיד נשיא התאחדות המלונות

בהמשך לחשיפת פספורטניוז, כהן מועמד יחיד לתפקיד, ולכן הבחירות יהיו אינטרנטיות באמצעות משרד עורכי דין. יוכרז רשמית במהלך היום

אלי כהן, ייבחר היום (רביעי) לתפקיד נשיא התאחדות המלונות.

כהן שעל מועמדותו נחשף לראשונה בפספורטניוז, הוא מועמד יחיד לתפקיד וזוכה לתמיכה מלאה של כל ענף המלונאות בבחירתו לתפקיד.

בשנים האחרונות הוגשו בסמוך לבחירות לנשיאות, מספר עתירות משפטיות בנוגע למועמדים לתפקיד נשיא התאחדות המלונות, הפעם הבחירות עוברות חלק לא התנגדויות או השגות, כאשר לדעת כולם כהן הוא האיש המתאים ביותר לתפקיד החשוב.

בשל העובדה שכהן מועמד יחיד, הבחירות יתקיימו בצורה אינטרנטית כדי לא להטריח את המלונאים. המלונאים יצביעו לתיבת מייל שמנוהלת על ידי משרד עורכי הדין של ההתאחדות המלונות, עו"ד גורניצקי בין השעות 9:00-13:00.

לאחר קבלת התוצאות יכריזו רשמית בהתאחדות המלונות על כהן כנשיא הנבחר.

כזכור הנשיא הקודם, אבי ניסנקורן, נאלץ להתפטר מהתפקיד, לאחר ששר התיירות חיים כץ, לא היה מוכן לעבוד מולו. ניסנקורן נאלץ להתפטר לאחר שאף מלונאי לא יצא פומבית נגד החלטת השר.

לכהן יש הכרות קרובה עם ענף התיירות וגם עם הצד הממשלתי. הוא היה בעבר מנכ"ל משרד התיירות, סמנכ"ל מסחר וקשרים תעופתיים בחברת אל על, יועץ בכיר לראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו, כאשר זה כיהן כשר האוצר, ראש מטה ושיווק ושירות בבנק הפועלים.

לכהן יש את כל הניסיון והיכולות כדי להצליח בתפקיד והוא יהיה הנשיא השלישי ברציפות, שאינו מגיע מענף המלונאות, אחרי ניסנקורן אמיר חייק, שגריר ישראל באיחוד האמירויות כיום, שתקופתו כנשיא התאחדות המלונות תיזכר כהצלחה גדולה.
