חורף 2023-2024: החם בהיסטוריה של יוון

ההתחממות הגלובלית כבר כאן: עוד לפני תום העונה הקרה, בשירות האקלים היווני כבר מכריזים על עונת 2023-2024 כחורף החם ביותר בתולדות המדינה התיירותית. ומה התחזית לקיץ הקרוב?

זו היתה השערה לא מלומדת שעכשיו מקבלת תוקף מחקרי: החורף האחרון היה החם ביותר ביוון בכל הזמנים.

על פי נתונים רשמיים של שירות האקלים היווני, חורף 2023-2024 היה החם ביותר שנרשם ביוון. ינואר ופברואר 2024 התאפיינו בטמפרטורות גבוהות הרבה יותר מהממוצע לעונה.

עוד מוסיפים בשירות הממשלתי כי בעשר השנים האחרונות, כולל השנה הנוכחית, נרשמו ששת החורפים החמים בכל הזמנים, מאז 1960 אז החלה המדידה בשיטה בה היא נעשית כיום. העלייה הממוצעת היא של 1.8 מעלות ליום, נתון משמעותי ביותר עבור המומחים בתחום.

בהרי הצפון של יוון העלייה משמעותית עד יותר והיא של 2-3 מעלות בכל יום. אף לא בנקודת מדידה אחת נרשמה ירידה בממוצע של יותר מ-0.5 מעלות.

ומה באשר לקיץ הקרוב? המומחים אומרים כי לא ניתן לחזות את העונה החמה על פי העונה הקרה שמסתיימת בעוד כשבועיים, אך יש לזכור כי הקיץ הקודם, קיץ 2023 היה מהחמים ביותר שנרשמו אי פעם ביוון.

בקיץ האחרון נרשמה עלייה של 2-3 טמפרטורות בממוצע במרבית האזורים. בכרתים נרשמה עלייה של 2.8 מעלות בממוצע לכל אורך העונה, כאשר יולי 2023 היה החם ביותר ביוון מאז 2010.

בעיירה Gytheio שבפלופונס נמדדה בקיץ האחרון הטמפרטורה הגבוהה ביותר לקיץ 2023, שעמדה על 46.4 מעלות צלזיוס.
