מערכת הויזות לתיירים בכניסה לישראל יצאה לדרך

המערכת ETA-IL של רשות האוכלוסין וההגירה החלה בפיילוט לבחינת בקשות כניסה לתיירים המגיעים לישראל, בתחילה אלה המחזיקים בדרכונים מארצות הברית ומגרמניה והחל מיולי - מיתר המדינות. מסורבי כניסה ייודעו לפני ההמראה לארץ

רשות האוכלוסין וההגירה השיקה החל מהיום, ה-1 ביוני 2024 את מערכת ה-ETA-IL, שנועדה לבחון בקשות כניסה עבור תיירים המגיעים לישראל ובידיהם דרכון מארצות הברית ומגרמניה. מדובר בסוג של ויזת תייר שתונהג בקרוב גם באירופה.

מידע על הנוסע יועבר לרשויות בטרם עלייתו למטוס, ונוסע שתעלה סוגיית מניעה של כניסה לישראל יופנה לנציגות ישראל במדינתו.

מטרת המהלך על פי רשות האוכלוסין - "ביטחוניות, הגירתיות ושירותיות ומניעת עוגמת נפש לנוסעים אשר ינחתו בגבול וכניסתם תסורב". מערכת ה-ETA קיימת כיום בארה״ב, קנדה, אוסטרליה וצפויה להתרחב גם למדינות נוספות ובכלל זה האיחוד האירופי.

היום, ה-1 ביוני החל הפיילוט עם ארה״ב וגרמניה, ממנו יופקו לקחים ויבדק הצורך בביצוע דיוק של המערכת. במקביל הוקם מוקד שירות ייעודי לנושא. החל מ-1 ביולי יורחב המהלך לכלל המדינות עמן קיים פטור הסכם מאשרות.

עלות השירות, לאחר שנת ניסוי ראשונה בהם השירות יינתן ללא עלות, תעמוד על כ-25 שקלים.

מנכ״ל רשות האוכלוסין וההגירה, אייל סיסו, אמר כי "הטמעת מערכת ה-ETA-IL מציבה אותנו בחזית דיגיטלית אחת עם מדינות מתקדמות כמו ארה״ב, אוסטרליה וקנדה. המערכת תסייע בחיזוק הביטחון הלאומי של מדינת ישראל".
