מחדשים את הברית האזורית-אסטרטגית: שר החוץ ייפגש באתונה עם עמיתיו מיוון וקפריסין

צעד חשוב של שיתוף פעולה אזורי: השר סער ייפגש עם מקביליו לקראת פגישה דומה שתיערך בהמשך בישראל. כמו כן ייפגש עם ראש ממשלת יוון ועם הקהילה היהודית באתונה

שר החוץ גדעון סער ימריא הבוקר (ה׳ 13.3.25) ליוון למפגש משולש של "הברית ההלנית" של ישראל עם יוון וקפריסין. על פי הודעת משרד החוץ, משולש היחסים בין המדינות הוא מסגרת מדינית, שנבנתה על שותפות אסטרטגית אזורית של שלוש המדינות סביב אינטרסים משותפים בהם אנרגיה, כלכלה וביטחון לאומי.

מאז הקמתה ב-2016 משמשת הברית כמרכז כובד אזורי, ומאפשרת הרחבת הקשרים האסטרטגיים, מדיניים וביטחוניים, מעבר לקשרים שמתנהלים במסגרות הבילטרליות.

המפגש המשולש יקדים פגישת ראשי הממשלות של שלוש המדינות הצפויה להתקיים בישראל לקראת סוף החודש.

בנוסף למפגש המשולש, במסגרת הביקור שר החוץ צפוי לקיים פגישות עם ראש ממשלת יוון קיריאקוס מיצוטאקיס וכן לקיים פגישות בילטרליות עם שר החוץ היווני ושר החוץ הקפריסאי. במהלך הביקור, שר החוץ יפגש גם עם הקהילה היהודית של אתונה.
