בעקבות התקלות בקתאי פסיפיק: דרישה לבדוק את צי מטוסי AIRBUS A350-1000 באירופה

נמשכת סאגת התקלה בקתאי פסיפיק. לאחר שחברת התעופה מהונג קונג סיימה את בדיקת מטוסיה שאמורים לשוב כולם לשירות מחר (שבת 7.9), בסוכנות לבטיחות תעופה של האיחוד האירופי (EASA) דורשים לבדוק את כלל המטוסים מדגם AIRBUS A350-1000, אשר בהם מותקנים מנועי רולס רויס מדגם XWB-97.

על פי הודעת סוכנות הבטיחות האירופית מדובר באמצעי זהירות בעקבות "תקרית חמורה הנוגעת לטיסת קתאי פסיפיק מהונג קונג בתחילת השבוע".

הסוכנות תפעיל תקנות לשעת חירום אשר נמצאות בסמכותה, ותחייב בדיקה חד-פעמית של צינורות הדלק בתוך המנועים כדי לבדוק האם יתגלו נזקים. על פי הודעת החברה הבדיקות ייערכו במהלך 30 הימים הקרובים, אך מדובר בעשרות בודדות של מטוסים של חברות תעופה אירופיות.

החברות המפעילות מטוסים מהדגם הספציפי המדובר באירופה הן KLM, לופטהנזה ו- French Bee. גם בריטיש איירווייז ו-Virgin Atlantic מפעילות מטוסים מדגם זה אך מאז הברקזיט בבריטניה ב-2020, הממלכה אינה כפופה ל-EASA.

"פעולה זו היא אמצעי זהירות, המבוסס על המידע שהתקבל מהחקירה הראשונית של התקרית החמורה האחרונה בקתאי פסיפיק ועל ממצאי חברת התעופה בבדיקות שערכה בהמשך", אמר מנכ"ל EASA, פלוריאן גיירמט. "נמשיך לעקוב מקרוב אחר כל המידע שיתקבל".

כזכור, ביום ראשון השבוע (1.9) מטוס A350-1000 של קתאי פסיפיק שהיה בדרכו מהונג קונג לציריך, חזר על עקבותיו לאחר מה שבהמשך התברר כתקלה חמורה במנוע. המטוס נחת בשלום. לאחר בדיקת צי ה-A350, חברת התעופה דיווחה על בעיות דומות במטוסים אחרים שקורקעו ונכנסו לסדרת בדיקות מהירה - שכאמור מסתיימת היום.
