מי רוצה לטוס לסנטוריני הרועדת? המבצע המדאיג של ענקית הלואו-קוסט

"מבצע האביב" של ריינאייר חושף פרט שעלול לנבא את עתיד התיירות לאי הפסטורלי שסובל כבר כחודש מרעידות אדמה בלתי פוסקות. בינתיים בסנטוריני: איגוד עובדי התיירות דורש סיוע חירום, רגע לפני פתיחת עונת התיירות. ומה יהיה עם הקרוזים?

כאשר החל רצף רעידות האדמה בסנטוריני, אי שם בסוף ינואר-תחילת פברואר 2025, המצב היה נראה מדאיג, אך איש לא חשב על השלכות שיהיו לדבר על עונת התיירות הרחוקה. אבל כפי שדיווחנו בחודש האחרון, הרעידות לא פוסקות, ומקרבות אותנו בצעדי ענק אל עונת תיירות האביב, שאמורה להתחיל בסנטוריני ובכלל ביוון בעוד מעט יותר מחודש, בסוף מרץ-תחילת אפריל.

כעת, כך על פי הפרסומים ביוון, דורשים איגודי העובדים של סנטוריני ממשרדי הממשלה היוונית סיוע חירום והבטחת הכנסה או דמי אבטלה עתידיים, למקרה שהתיירים פשוט יסרבו להגיע.

רמז למורכבות המצב, ולחוסר העניין של התיירים להגיע לסנטוריני בעונה הקרובה, ניתן אולי למצוא ב"מבצע האביב" של ענקית הלואו-קוסט ריינאייר.

על פי פרטי המבצע שנפתח היום (22.2.25) הטיסות המוזלות היחידות שניתן למצוא מאתונה הן לסנטוריני, והן נמכרות בחודשים אפריל ומאי ב-17 אירו בלבד לכיוון, עד סוף חודש מאי, הנחשב כבר לתקופה די מבוקשת באי.

אגב, גם ביוני, יולי ואוגוסט ניתן למצוא טיסות מוזלות לסנטוריני, בפחות מ-30 אירו לכיוון, מחירים שמאוד לא מאפיינים את היעד הלוהט. אגב, גם בריינאייר וגם בחברות האחרות המבצעות בעיקר בין מאי לספטמבר טיסות ישירות מרחבי אירופה לסנטוריני, לא נראים כרגע ביטולים.

ומה בענף הקרוזים? שם פחות מביעים פחות דאגה, ואוניות הפאר לא מתכננות נכון להיום לבטל את העצירות בסנטוריני בעונה הקרובה.

הסיבה להבדל ברורה. התיירים אולי רוצים לבקר בסנטוריני, אך כנראה שלינה באי תהיה חוויה מבוקשת פחות בקרוב. עבור המגיעים בקרוזים, כמובן שלא מדובר בדרמה גדולה שכן בסוף יום הטיול הם חוזרים ללון באוניה הבטוחה.

קריסת צוקים וחשש מהעתיד לבוא

בינתיים בשטח, החשש מפני רעידה עוצמתית עדיין לא הוסר, למרות היחלשות הפעילות הססמית ומדידות נמוכות יותר של עוצמה בשבוע האחרון (בשבוע האחרון נמדדה רעידת אדמה אחת בלבד בעוצמה של יותר מ-5).

הממשל היווני ממשיך לקיים ישיבות חירום כדי לבחון את צרכי התושבים, וכעת גם את הצרכים התיירותיים העתידיים לעונה הקרובה שעלולים להשפיע דרמטית על כלכלת האי המושתת על עסקי התיירות. על פי הדיווחים מסנטוריני מספר צוקים קרסו לחופים ואל הים, אך בעיקר באזורים לא מיושבים.

בשורה התחתונה - הטבע, כך נדמה, משאיר לרגע האחרון את גורל עונת התיירות הקרובה. אם המצב יישאר כמו שהוא כיום או אפילו ישתפר בכל הנוגע לפעילות הססמית, ניתן עוד להציל את עונת התיירות של סנטוריני. אבל במקרה של התפרצות הר געש משמעותית, אפילו אחת, אי החלומות ששקל רק לפני שנה להגביל את מספר התיירים, יעמוד בפני משבר חמור במיוחד.
