משרד ראש הממשלה צפוי להכריע האם שדה דב יפונה כבר ביוני 2016

אם שדה התעופה לא יפונה ב - 2016, עשויה סגירתו להידחות לינואר 2019. ארקיע מבקשת דחייה בפינוי, ראש עיריית אילת מעוניין בדחיית הסגירה כבר ב 2016, ההחלטה צפויה להתקבל בשבועות הקרובים

משרד ראש הממשלה אמור להכריע במרוצת השבועות הקרובים, בסוגיית מועד סגירתו של שדה דב. ההחלטה תכריע באופן סופי האם יפונה השדה כבר בחודש יוני 2016, בעוד פחות משנה, או שהפינוי ידחה בסופו של דבר לחודש ינואר 2019.
סגירת השדה תלויה גם בפעולת הלוביסטים וגורמים פוליטיים נוספים המעורים בהחלטה.

ראש עיריית אילת, מאיר יצחק הלוי, בעד דחיית הפינוי בטענה שהעיר אילת עשויה להיפגע מהמהלך, ארקיע מבקשת דחייה בתאריך הפינוי כי עדיין אינה ערוכה לכך, ועדיין לא ברורה עמדתה הסופית של ישראייר בסוגיית הפינוי ב 2016. לאור כל הנתונים והנימוקים שיתקבלו, על ידי הגורמים המעורים בנושא, יהיה זה משרד ראש הממשלה שצפוי לקבל את ההחלטה הסופית על מועד הפינוי המדויק.
