גידול במספר התיירים הישראלים שביקרו בטורקיה באוקטובר 2008

מספר המבקרים הישראלים בטורקיה בחודש זה עלה ב-25% לעומת התקופה המקבילה אשתקד. משרד התרבות והתיירות של טורקיה צופה כי טורקיה תהיה יעד תיירות חורף מועדף עבור הישראלים, בשל המחירים התחרותיים לעומת אתרי התיירות באירופה.

בחודש אוקטובר 2008 ביקרו 61,414 ישראלים בטורקיה, עליה של 25% לעומת החודש המקביל אשתקד. בחודש זה ישראל היתה אחת מ-10 מדינות המוצא הגדולות בעולם לתיירות נכנסת לטורקיה.

בחודשים ינואר-אוקטובר 2008 ביקרו בטורקיה למעלה מחצי מיליון ישראלים , עליה של 10% לעומת התקופה המקבילה אשתקד,שהייתה שנת השיא בתיירות ישראלית בטורקיה.

משרד התרבות והתיירות של טורקיה צופה השנה עלייה במספר הישראלים שיעדיפו לבלות את חופשות החורף בטורקיה, כולל בחגיגות הסילבסטר באיסטנבול ואתרי הסקי "הכול כלול", לאור המחירים התחרותיים בטורקיה לעומת אתרי תיירות באירופה.
