התיירות בפריס משגשגת: מלונות העיר רשמו שיא ב-2017

לאחר ירידה משמעותית במספר התיירים בבירת צרפת בשנת 2016 בעקבות גל אירועי הטרור, בשנה האחרונה נרשמה עלייה גדולה ושנת שיא בבתי המלון בעיר. האטרקציה התיירותית המובילה היא מוזיאון הלובר, ואילו מגדל אייפל מדורג רק במקום השלישי

שנת 2017 הייתה שנת שיא למלונות פריס למרות פיגועי הטרור בשנתיים האחרונות ואמצעי הביטחון החמורים הננקטים בעיר. עפ"י דיווח של פדרציית התיירות המקומית והאזורית, בשנה שעברה נרשמו 33.8 מיליון הזמנות בבתי המלון בפריס. הדו"ח מציין כי התיירות הבינלאומית גדלה במיוחד מיפן, מגרמניה ומארצות הברית. שנת השיא הקודמת הייתה 2015, בה נרשמו 32.4 מיליון הזמנות, ובשנת 2016, בעקבות אירועי הטרור בעיר, נרשמו רק 30.9 מיליון הזמנות. אריק ז'נמטר, נשיא מועצת התיירות הצרפתית, ציין כי למרות הירידה במספר התיירים בצרפת בעקבות פיגועי הטרור, צרפת ממשיכה להיות מדינת התיירות המובילה בעולם, ובזכות אמצעי הביטחון ההדוקים, התיירים הבינלאומיים מבקרים בה ללא חשש, ונראה כי ב-2018 מגמת הגידול צפויה להימשך. עפ"י הדיווח העדכני של פדרציית התיירות הפריסאית, אטרקציית התיירות הפופולארית ביותר היא מוזיאון הלובר – 8.1 מיליון מבקרים בשנת 2017. במקום השני ארמון ורסאי – 7.7 מיליון מבקרים, ורק במקום השלישי מגדל אייפל עם 6.2 מיליון מבקרים.
