דיון חירום בכנסת על "ההשלכות ההרסניות של סגר על אילת"

השדולה לחיזוק העיר אילת בראשות ח"כ מיקי לוי תקיים ביום שני דיון חירום בנושא. בקשה לקיום דיון חירום בוועדת הכספים. לוי: "סגר מלא או חלקי על אילת יוביל לחיסול תעשיית התיירות ובהכרח לחיסול העיר אילת"

בעקבות הכוונה להטיל סגר על עיר אילת, ח"כ מיקי לוי ראש השדולה לחיזוק העיר אילת החליט על קיום דיון חירום ביום שני הקרוב. בדיון שיתקיים בכנסת תחת הכותרת: "ההשלכות הכלכליות ההרסניות של סגר על העיר אילת", ישתתף גם, מאיר יצחק הלוי, ראש עיריית אילת. במקביל ח"כ לוי פנה לח"כ משה גפני, יו"ר ועדת הכספים של הכנסת, בבקשה לקיים דיון דחוף בוועדה "בהשלכות הכלליות ההרסניות של הסגר אפשרי על העיר אילת". ח"כ לוי מזהיר: "סגר מלא או חלקי על אילת יוביל לחיסול תעשיית התיירות ובהכרח לחיסול העיר אילת ולפגיעה בלתי הפיכה בכלכלת העיר ובמרקם החברתי הנפיץ שבה. העיר אילת עדיין מתמודדת עם השלכות הסגר הקודם. היום אילת מתמודדת עם מעל ל-35% אבטלה. סגר יחזיר את העיר לאבטלה שתגיע ל-80% ומשם לקריסה כלכלית, חברתית ונפשית של העיר". ח"כ לוי מבקש קידום מתווה מוסכם להחרגת העיר אילת מכל סגר שיוחלט עליו.
