עוד לא חוזרים: האטה בקצב כניסת תיירים לישראל

בתשעת החודשים הראשונים של 2022 נרשמו לפי הלשכה המרכזית לסטטיסטיקה 1.8 מיליון כניסות מבקרים לישראל לעומת 3.5 מיליון מבקרים בתקופה המקבילה ב-2019.
בחודש ספטמבר נרשמו לישראל כ-250 אלף כניסות תיירים לעומת כ-405 אלף בספטמבר 2019.
27.1 אחוז מכלל הכניסות היו של תיירים מארה״ב.
במקביל נרשמו 27,800 מבקרי יום לעומת 31,500 בספטמבר 2019 כאשר 16 אלף כניסות היו של נוסעים בשיוט. מספר מבקרי היום הגבוה ביותר היה מארצות הברית, 6,800 כניסות.
מניתוח הנתונים מנוכי העונתיות של כניסות תיירים בדרך האוויר עולה כי בשלושת החודשים האחרונים, יולי-ספטמבר 2022 נרשמו 206.5 אלף כניסות בממוצע לחודש, לעומת 225.2 אלף כניסות בממוצע לחודש בשלושת החודשים שקדמו להם, אפריל - יוני 2022.
בענף המלונאות מסבירים כי הרבעון השלישי נהנה מגידול בכניסות תיירים עקב אירועי המכביה ואולם המגמה המסתמנת מספטמבר מדאיגה. אבי ניסנקורן, נשיא התאחדות המלונות: "עד עתה המגמה של צמצום הפער בכניסות התיירים לעומת 2019, התקדמה בעיקר באופן אורגני ללא השקעה בשיווק לתיירות חו"ל. כעת, לאור התפנית המדאיגה במגמה, יציאה לקמפיין שיווק בינלאומי היא מחויבת המציאות בעת הזו, שעה שמדינות העולם ובעיקר מדינות היחוס באגן הים התיכון, משקיעות בשיווק ומחזרות אחר התיירים הזרים, מדינת ישראל נשארת מאחור. זה הזמן לצאת מיידית בקמפיין משמעותי שיציב את מדינת ישראל מחדש על מפת התיירות".
