ועדת החוקה אישרה את הארכת תקנות הסגר עד יום א' הקרוב בחצות. 9 חכ"ים תמכו ו-6 התנגדו. יו"ר הוועדה למפגינים: "השבוע לא זמן להפגנות אלא להתכנס בבית כדי שנוכל לחזור לעבודה. עם ישראל יקבל בשבוע הבא חבילת הקלות גדולה"

ועדת החוקה בראשות ח"כ יעקב אשר, אישרה לפני זמן קצר את הארכת התקנות הנוכחיות של הסגר (כולל סגירת מקומות העבודה) עד ליום ראשון הקרוב, 18 באוקטובר בחצות. התקנות לרבות ההקלות, ייכנסו לתוקף מידי עם פרסומן ברשומות בשעות הקרובות. נציגי הממשלה הבהירו שאם לא יגובש מתווה חדש, החל מיום שישי הקרוב, 16 באוקטובר, מגבלות התעופה והיציאה לחו"ל יוסרו. 9 ח"כים שתמכו בתקנות: היו"ר ח"כ יעקב אשר (יהדות התורה) והח"כים שלמה קרעי, אסנת הילה מארק, אריאל קלנר, עמית הלוי (הליכוד), מיכל וונש, הילה שי וזאן, איתן גינזבורג (כחול לבן), אוריאל בוסו (ש"ס). 6 ח"כים שהתנגדו: אוסאמה סעדי, עופר כסיף (הרשימה המשותפת), יואב סגלוביץ', קארין אלהרר (יש עתיד תל"ם), אלי אבידר (ישראל ביתנו), יאיר גולן (מרצ). ההקלות שאושרו הן: -התרת סיבה נוספת ליציאה מהבית מעבר למגבלת הקילומטר, לטובת חתונה של בן משפחה קרוב (או של המתחתנים עצמם) ועורך החתונה. זאת בכפוף למגבלת ההתקהלות של עד 20 אנשים בשטח פתוח ועשרה בתוך מבנה סגור. -התרת אימונים של ספורטאים מקצועיים בליגה הבכירה בענפי כדור גברים ונשים. יו"ר הוועדה קרא למארגני ההפגנות להימנע מהפגנות במוצ"ש הקרוב ואמר, "השבוע לא זמן להפגנות אלא להתכנס בבית; כדי שנוכל לחזור לעבודה; עם ישראל יקבל בשבוע הבא חבילת הקלות גדולה".
