פתיחה אופטימית: 308.5 אלף תיירים נכנסו לארץ בחודש ינואר

פתיחה חיובית לשנת 2020 בכל מה שקשור למספר התיירים המבקרים בישראל. בחודש ינואר 2020 נכנסו לישראל 308.5 אלף תיירים, עליה של 8% ביחס לחודש ינואר אשתקד ועלייה של 20% ביחס לחודש ינואר 2018. דרך האוויר נרשמו 268.9 אלף כניסות תיירים בחודש ינואר 2020, עליה של 7.6% ביחס לינואר 2019 ועליה של 17.8% ביחס לינואר 2018. דרך היבשה נכנסו לישראל 39.6 אלף תיירים בחודש ינואר 2020, עליה של 13.8% לעומת ינואר 2019 ועליה של 39.4% ביחס ינואר 2018. אלף מבקרי יום נכנסו לישראל בינואר 2020 – לעומת 35.4 אלף שנכנסו בינואר 2019, ולעומת 16.1 אלף שנכנסו בינואר 2018. אומדן היקף ההכנסות מתיירים נכנסים בחודש ינואר הינו 437 מיליון דולר (כ-1.5 מיליארד ש"ח). שר התיירות, יריב לוין מסר בתגובה: "השיאים בכניסת התיירים לישראל ממשיכים להישבר ואנחנו מסכמים את חודש ינואר השנה עם עליה של 8% בכניסות תיירים לעומת ינואר אשתקד, ועליה של 20% ביחס לחודש ינואר 2018. המספרים מדברים בעד עצמם - המהפכה במדיניות השיווק שהובלנו במשרד התיירות נותנת את אותותיה, ואנחנו מקווים שנוכל לשמר את התנופה החיובית גם בשנת 2020 למרות הקיצוץ התקציבי הצפוי". מנכ"ל משרד התיירות, אמיר הלוי: "אנחנו שמחים שגם שנת 2020 נפתחה בעליה במספר התיירים המגיעים לישראל, בין השאר הודות להיקף ולמקצועיות של פעילות השיווק של המשרד. המשרד ממשיך לפעול תחת מגבלת התקציב הקיימת והאתגרים הנוספים שהגיעו לפתחנו, וישווק את ישראל כיעד תיירות במגוון מותגי תיירות לקהלי יעד שונים, במטרה לשמר את ההישגים המדהימים של השנים האחרונות".
