צרפת בשיא: 89.4 מיליון תיירים ב-2018

התיירים הזרים תרמו לכלכלת צרפת הכנסת שיא של 56.2 מיליארד אירו, ורשויות התיירות במדינה מצפות לשבור את רף 100 מיליון התיירים ב-2020

צרפת, שיאנית התיירות העולמית, ממשיכה בלא הרף להוביל את רשימת מעצמות התיירות הבינלאומיות, ומדי שנה אף זוכה להגדיל משמעותית את מספר התיירים הזרים. ב-2017 ביקרו בצרפת 86.9 מיליון תיירים ממדינות אחרות, וב-2018, למרות המהומות וההפגנות של האפודים הצהובים, היקף התיירות הבינלאומית טיפס ל-89.4 מיליון. עפ"י נתונים של רשויות התיירות בצרפת, 79% מהתיירים הזרים מגיעים ממדינות אירופה. ההכנסות מהתיירות הזרה צמחו בשנה האחרונה ב-5% והכניסו לכלכלת צרפת סכום שיא של 56.2 מיליארד אירו. מלבד תיירות הפנאי, גם התיירות העסקית שברה בשנה האחרונה שיאים. פריס לבדה דורגה כיעד העולמי מספר 1 ע"י האיגוד הבינלאומי לקונגרסים ולכנסים, כשאירחה ב-2018 212 כנסים בינלאומיים לעומת 190 כנסים בשנת 2017. כדי להבין את עוצמת תעשיית התיירות בצרפת על כל שלוחותיה ומגזריה, ראוי להדגיש כי התיירות הזרה מהווה רק כ-30% מההיקף הכולל של הענף במדינה. רשויות התיירות בצרפת מעריכות, כי בשנת 2020, אם לא תהיינה הפתעות בלתי צפויות, יישבר רף 100 מיליון התיירים. לשכת הסטטיסטיקה הממשלתית מחזקת את ההערכה עפ"י הנתונים העדכניים. בחודש אפריל האחרון נרשמו 438.2 מיליון לינות של תיירים במלונות ובבתי הארחה לסוגיהם, גידול של 9 מיליון בהשוואה לשנה שעברה, וזאת מבלי להתייחס ללינה בדירות שכורות, כמו Airbnb, שבעיר פריס לבדה רשומות 65,000 דירות כאלה.
