ITA, חברת התעופה הלאומית החדשה של איטליה, תצא לדרך ב-15 באוקטובר

החברה החדשה, שתחליף את אליטליה, יוצאת במכרז של 5.3 מיליארד דולר לרכישת 81 מטוסים חדשים, כשאיירבוס ובואינג מתחרות על העסקה הגדולה

בהמשך לפרסום שלנו בשנה שעברה, חברת התעופה הלאומית החדשה של איטליה, ITA, צפויה סופסוף להתחיל לפעול בחודש אוקטובר לאחר תהליך ארוך של התארגנות. עפ"י דיווח מהיום בעיתון 'קוריירה דלה סרה', יצרנית המטוסים האירופית, איירבוס, היא הפייבוריטית לזכות במכרז של חברת ITA, חברת התעופה הלאומית של איטליה, המחליפה את אליטליה, שתחל לפעול ב-15 באוקטובר. בכירים בחברת התעופה ITA, עפ"י ה'קוריירה דלה סרה', אומרים כי עדיין לא קיבלו החלטה סופית והם מנהלים מו"מ גם בואינג. למרות שאיירבוס מועדפת באופן טבעי, הם מציינים כי "בואינג יכולה להציע חבילה חסרת תקדים של מטוסים בהנחה של עד 70%". שווי המכרז של ITA מוערך בהיקף של 5.3 מיליארד דולר והוא כולל אספקת 81 מטוסי דור חדש תוך 4 שנים, עפ"י בכירי החברה. ITA מתכננת, כאמור, להתחיל לפעול ב-15 באוקטובר לאחר חודשים ארוכים של שיחות עם נציגי הנציבות האירופית בנוגע לתנאי הסיוע, שממשלת איטליה העניקה לאליטליה. נראה כי ITA תעמוד בפני מאבק קשה עם חברות הלואו-קוסט, ובראשן ריינאייר, שניצלו את מגפת הקורונה והתהליך הארוך של ארגון מחודש כדי להתבסס באיטליה ולתפוס נתח נכבד משוק התעופה הפנימי במדינה.
