מנכ"ל אייר קנדה, קאלין רובינסקו, פורש לגמלאות

הנשיא והמנכ"ל של חברת התעופה הקנדית מאז 2009 פורש בחודש פברואר הקרוב, ואת מקומו ימלא מייקל רוסו, המשנה למנכ"ל ומנכ"ל הכספים של החברה

לאחר קריירה של יותר מ-30 שנה באייר קנדה, הנשיא והמנכ"ל של החברה, קאלין רובינסקו, פורש לגמלאות בחודש פברואר הקרוב. רובינסקו עמד בראש חברת התעופה הגדולה בקנדה מאז 2009. לפני תפקידו כמנכ"ל שימש כסגן נשיא בכיר לפיתוח תאגידים ואסטרטגיה וכמו כן ניהל את מהלך הארגון המחודש של חברת התעופה בשנים 2003-04. בעבר כיהן כיו"ר הוועד המנהל של ברית התעופה 'סטאר אליאנס' וכיו"ר מועצת הנגידים של יאט"א. "נהניתי ממערכת יחסים ייחודית ומיוחדת מאוד עם אייר קנדה ואנשינו המצוינים במשך למעלה משלושה עשורים, בקו החזית של רבים מהרגעים המכריעים של החברה", אמר רובינסקו בהודעת הפרישה. "בעוד שהקורונה השמידה את ענף חברות התעופה העולמיות, למרבה המזל, נכנסנו למגפה בריאים בהרבה מכל חברת תעופה אחרת בעולם כתוצאה מהמאזן החזק, הרקורד וכוח העבודה שלנו", ציין רובינסקו, והוסיף: "צמצמנו את מבנה העלויות שלנו, את הוצאות ההון שלנו ואת ההסדרים עם הספקים שלנו לשנים הבאות. אייר קנדה תהיה במצב טוב מאוד להתאוששות, כאשר הגבולות ייפתחו מחדש, יוסרו מגבלות הנסיעות והכלכלה הרחבה תפעל שוב". מייקל רוסו, המשנה למנכ"ל ומנכ"ל הכספים של אייר קנדה, יחליף את רובינסקו בראש חברת התעופה. לפני שהצטרף לאייר קנדה, רוסו היה נשיא חברת 'מפרץ הדסון', ונבחר למנהל הכספים של השנה בקנדה בשנת 2017.
