אורי סירקיס, מנכ״ל ישראייר זועם. לאחר הפרסום הבוקר בפספורטניוז כי חברת גולף אייר תקדים את התחלת טיסותיה הישירות לישראל מבחריין ל-30.9, אורי סירקיס מנכ"ל חברת ישראייר יוצא במתקפה חריפה ואמר הבוקר לפספורטניוז: "השקת הקו לבחריין על ידי חברה אחת זרה היא עוד צעד בקבורת התעופה הישראלית. בשם התחרות, בשם השירות ללקוח, בוצעו כאן לאורך השנים שורת רפורמות מבורכות שפתחו את השמים וגרמו לשגשוגה של ישראייר". סירקיס מזהיר כי: "לאורך זמן לא ניתן יהיה לשרוד. האוצר מסרב לתת מענקים לחברות התעופה, על נזק בלתי הפיך, שגרמו החלטות הממשלה, והסתברו ערב הגשת תשובת המדינה לבג"ץ של קווי חופשה, כהחלטות חסרות בסיס הגיוני. המערך הביטחוני מסרב לתת לחברות הישראליות לטוס לבחריין, שארם א-שייח', תורכיה, עקבה ועוד. אם לא תהיה תעופה ישראלית מחירי הכרטיסים יאמירו, וכולם ישלמו את המחיר". עוד מוסיף מנכ"ל ישראייר: "אני פונה לשרת התחבורה, מרב מיכאלי, להתערב מיידית, ולהשפיע על מתווה הסיוע של האוצר ועל פתיחת השמים לכולם".
